About the authors
Multimedia Fluid Mechanics was first published in 2001 on CD-ROM, with a new edition in 2008 on DVD. It was developed through the efforts of a multi-investigator team, sponsored by the National Science Foundation and NASA.
The team members were:
  • George M. Homsy, Principal Investigator (Affiliate Professor at University of Washington)
  • H. Aref (late Reynolds Metals Professor, Virginia Tech, and late Niels Bohr Visiting Professor, Technical University of Denmark)
  • K. S. Breuer (Professor of Engineering, Brown University)
  • John W. M. Bush (Professor of Applied Mathematics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology)
  • Christophe Clanet (Professor of Fluid Mechanics at École Polytechnique)
  • Marc Fermigier (Professor, École Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles, ESPCI)
  • Simone Hochgreb (Professor of Engineering, University of Cambridge)
  • J. R. Koseff (William Alden Campbell and Martha Campbell Professor, Stanford University)
  • B. R. Munson (Professor Emeritus, Iowa State University)
  • K. G. Powell (Arthur F Thurnau Professor and Professor of Aerospace Engineering, University of Michigan)
  • David Quéré (CNRS, École Polytechnique)
  • J. J. Riley (PACCAR Professor of Engineering, University of Washington)
  • C. R. Robertson (Professor Emeritus, Stanford University)
  • A. J. Smits (Eugene Higgins Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Princeton University)
  • S. T. Thoroddsen (Professor of Mechanical Engineering, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology)
  • J. M. Wallace (Professor Emeritus, University of Washington)
